What is court speed?
How much the court helps the server, judged from aces and serve points won and adjusted for who played. 100 is the average ATP tournament court that season.
Challenger and ITF courts usually read lower: partly the venues, partly the balls and conditions at those levels.
How court speed worksMain draw, last 10 seasons: 1,353 matches, compared with every ATP tour event on clay
Played best of five, against a tour that plays best of three: expect more comebacks and fewer deciding sets here for the format alone. Tiebreaks and length are per set, so they compare fairly.
